§ 65. Mr. Randallasked the Minister of Labour if he will make a statement on his plans to extend and develop schemes of apprenticeship and training in the Northern region.
§ Mr. GreenThe Northern region should continue to share in the general development of apprenticeship and training schemes which the Government are encouraging. The proportion of boys entering apprenticeships in the region is higher than the national average and has increased from 40 per cent. in 1960 to 42.5 per cent. in the first ten months of this year.
