HC Deb 12 December 1961 vol 651 c32W
Mr. de Ferranti

asked the Postmaster-General whether, in view of the uncertainties created by the possible mechanisation of the Savings Certificate Division, he will postpone a decision on dispersal until such time as the effects in employment and organisation have been fully worked out.

Miss Pike

My right hon. Friend does not think that the possible mechanisation of certain processes at present under examination affords any reason for postponing a decision on dispersal. There will be ample time to take any consequences into account in planning the main move, which cannot take place before 1965.
