§ Mr. Harold Daviesasked the Minister of Education how many places were offered to children taking the 11-plus examination in the years 1958, 1959, 1960, and 1961 in the areas of Leek, Kidsgrove, Biddulph, and Cheadle; and how many children sat for the examination in those years.
§ Sir D. EcclesThe following provisional figures have been sent me by the Staffordshire Local Education Authority.
§ Miss PittDuring the three months ended 30th November, 1961, 1,782 including replacements, were supplied by the Manchester Hearing Aid Clinic and 40,285 elsewhere. The number issued to Centres each month is proportionate to the number of patients known to use Medresco valve aids.
The new aids are being produced at the rate of 200,000 a year and any outstanding priority cases should soon be 39W disposed of. The whole programme should be complete about the middle of 1963.
