§ 71. Mr. Woodburnasked the Lord Privy Seal whether, in his efforts to secure negotiations to reduce tension between East and West, he will give an 36W assurance that Her Majesty's Government will not support the use of force as a means of securing the reunification of Germany or the recovery of the territories lost by Germany in the East.
§ Mr. HeathIf I thought that it would help to reduce tension I would be very ready to give such an assurance. But I do not think that anybody suspects Her Majesty's Government of harbouring violent intentions.
