HC Deb 05 December 1961 vol 650 cc134-5W
Mrs. Butler

asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science what reports he has received of research into the concentration of Strontium 90 in specific organs of the human body.

Mr. Denzil Freeth

Significant amounts of Strontium 90 are deposited only in the bones of the human body. The results of measurements of strontium in human bone, and of other research, are published at intervals by the Atomic Energy Research Establishment and the Medical Research Council.
