HC Deb 05 December 1961 vol 650 cc149-50W
72. Mr. Rankin

asked the Minister of Aviation to what extent the policy of Her Majesty's Government in regard to the development of the aircraft industry now depends on United Kingdom entry into the Common Market.

Mr. Woodhouse

As my right hon. Friend indicated during the debate on Civil Aviation on 23rd November, he is strongly in favour of collaboration with other countries in aviation, but this should not be limited to the Common Market countries. The Government's policy towards the aircraft industry is therefore not dependent upon our entry into the Common Market.
