§ Mr. Wainwrightasked the Minister of Power his plans for remedying the cause of the complaints he has received from the Clerk of the Wath-upon-Dearne Urban District Council relating to the nuisance created by opencast mining in the Newhill area of the Wath-upon-Dearne district.
§ Mr. GeorgeA meeting between representatives of the Wath-upon-Dearne Urban District Council and the National Coal Board took place on 30th November to discuss the complaints. When my right hon. Friend has received a report of this meeting I shall write to the hon. Member.
