§ Mr. R. A. ButlerThere has in recent months been a considerable drop in the number of incidents involving white and coloured persons reported to the Metropolitan Police. The police keep a careful watch to see that public meetings do not lead to breaches of the peace, and would not hesitate to take action under their existing powers if necessary.
