§ 5. Mr. Fletcherasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the observations of the Court of Appeal in the case of Campbell Discount Company Limited v. Bridge reported in (1961) 1 Q.B. 445, with regard to the unsatisfactory state of the law as to penalties, whereby the man who terminates his contract is in a worse position than the man who breaks his contract, he will introduce the necessary legislation to remedy the law.
