Mr. G. Wilsonasked the Minister of Transport what plans he has, now that the periodic vehicle testing scheme is in operation, for bringing into effect the complementary scheme for the roadside test of vehicles, provided for in Section 67 of the Road Traffic Act, 1960.
§ Mr. MarplesPreparations have been made to start the spot check scheme early in September, and I intend shortly to make an Order bringing the Section into effect.
