§ Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland to what extent the recent dental survey in Dundee showed, in the age group concerned, dental work requiring to be done; and what plans he has for expanding the facilities for dental treatment amongst Dundee children.
§ Mr. MaclayWhile the recent dental health education campaign in Dundee was not designed to ascertain the amount of dental work requiring to be done, it included a survey of the teeth of children aged 5 and 6 which revealed a high incidence of decay. Improved treatment services throughout Scotland depend mainly on the supply of dentists, and Dundee will share in the increasing number at present being trained.
