§ Mr. BevinsThe output of the telecommunications equipment industry during the last quarter of 1960 was about 35 per cent. more than in the preceding quarter, and was the highest ever recorded. This has been achieved despite the tendency of export orders to decline, as mentioned in my reply of 13th April to the hon. Member. If the hon. Member has in mind the capacity in any particular branch of the industry and will let me know, I shall be glad to make inquiry.
