HC Deb 25 April 1961 vol 639 c27W
55. Mr. Gower

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what number and what proportion of houses in Wales had a piped water supply at the latest convenient date; and what were the comparable figures and proportions in 1951.

Mr. Brooke

About 749,000 houses in Wales (95 per cent. of the total number) had a piped water supply in June, 1959, the last date for which figures are readily available. In 1951 the comparable figures were about 598,000 and 84 per cent.
