HC Deb 25 April 1961 vol 639 cc20-1W
23. Mr. Hayman

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many applications for Board of Trade Advisory Committee aid in Cornwall have now been received; on how many decisions have been reached; what has been the average interval between receipt of an application and a decision upon it; and what have been the shortest and longest of such intervals.

Mr. N. Macpherson

Thirty-one applications have been received and decisions have been reached on twenty-one of them. The interval between the first submission of an application and the final decision upon it has varied between six and nine months, with an average of about seven months. The interval between receiving from the applicant all the information necessary to enable the Committee to investigate his case and the final decision on it is between two and three months.
