HC Deb 18 April 1961 vol 638 cc86-7W
Mr. Hayman

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what were the amounts spent each year since the National Parks Commission was set up on the acquisition and management of land, separately, under the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act, 1949.

Sir K. Joseph

The Minister's power to acquire land in a national park by agreement, and to arrange for its management, has not been exercised.
