Mr. Hobsonasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the instructions given for the discontinuance of the sales of automobiles of British manufacture at United States bases in this country and the instructions to United States personnel in this country that they are to buy American; whether he is aware of the effect these instructions will have on the motor industry of this country and those employed in it; what representations he has made to the Government of the United States of America about their policy which is restrictive of mutual trade; and whether he will make a statement.
