§ Mr. R. A. ButlerA revised edition of the booklet "Prisons and Borstals" was produced last year. Visits by judges to penal institutions are welcomed and facilities are readily granted. Recommendations made by the Inter-departmental Committee on the Business of the Criminal Courts, of which Mr. Justice Streatfeild was Chairman, about means of acquainting judges more fully with the work of the Prison Commission are at present under consideration.
