HC Deb 12 April 1961 vol 638 c25W
Mr. K. Lewis

asked the Postmaster-General if, in view of the fact that the town of Stamford is celebrating its quincentenary this year and having regard to the association of Stamford with the postal system going back as far as 1326, he will consider holding a small exhibition or making some other contribution to the quincentenary celebrations of the town.

Miss Pike

Yes. I am glad to say that the Post Office will have a stand at the Industrial Exhibition to be held from 29th May to 10th June and will also provide postal and telephone facilities for visitors to that exhibition.
