§ Mr. P. ThomasThe figure for Dundee and Broughty Ferry was 5.2 per cent. on 13th March, 1961, compared with 3.9 per cent. on 14th March, 1960. Every effort is being made to encourage the establishment of more industry in this area, which is a development district. Factory extensions nearly completed or under construction are likely to provide over 1,000 new jobs.
