HC Deb 11 April 1961 vol 638 cc2-3W
19. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the fact that the Forth Road bridge works are being held up for lack of steel, what steps he proposes to take to ensure continuous progress in the construction.

Mr. Maclay

I am glad to say that the temporary difficulties which held up the delivery of the steel sections of the south main tower were resolved last month; and last Friday I saw for myself that work was again proceeding satisfactorily.
