HL Deb 11 April 1961 vol 230 c252WA
LORD MANCROFT

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the changes that have occurred in the principles of domestic heating since the days of John Nash do not now justify the removal of some of the more unsightly chimney pots from the roof of Carlton House Terrace.

THE MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO (THE EARL OF DUNDEE)

The Crown Estate Commissioners have informed me that the possible removal of any unsightly chimney pots will be kept in view when plans for the conversion of Carlton House Terrace behind the existing facades are under consideration.

House adjourned at four o'clock.
