§ 3. Mr. H. Hughesasked the Minister of Labour if he will make a statement on the constitutional and procedural changes in the International Labour Organisation at Geneva consequent on the the recent increase in membership; and if he will indicate to what extent Nigeria and other members of the organisation have accepted the relevant 48W conventions already accepted by Great Britain.
§ Mr. HareThere have been no constitutional or procedural changes as a result of the recent increase in the membership of the International Labour Organisation. Nigeria has informed the Director-General of the I.L.O. that she remains bound by the obligations of the International Labour Conventions which were fully applied in Nigeria before independence. Similar declarations were made by Cyprus and Ghana when they joined the Organisation.
