§ 71. Mr. Callaghanasked the Minister of Transport what was the result of the inquiries he made of the Chairman of the British Transport Commission about the provision of an adequate number of coal wagons in South Wales to avoid shortages to consumers.
§ Mr. MarplesI am informed that there is no shortage of mineral wagons in South Wales, and that coal traffic is moving freely. The Commission do not expect any difficulty in moving coal from South Wales during the winter unless there is prolonged bad weather or epidemics amongst the staff.
