§ 57. Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Minister of Transport what steps he is taking to reduce the number of places on clearways where traffic can turn right and so cause obstruction and accidents.
§ Mr. MarplesClearways have been selected as sections of road which have a reasonably good alignment and few intersections. On most clearways it would cause grave inconvenience to motorists to restrict right-hand turns. There is no reason to think that such turns cause undue obstruction or accidents on clearways.
