§ Mr. Scholefield Allenasked the Lord Privy Seal if he will increase the contribution made by Her Majesty's Government to the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law in accordance with the unanimous recommendation of the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe at its Session of 22nd September, 1960.
§ Mr. HeathThe Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has not yet finished consideration of Recommendation 270 of the Consultative Assembly 7W which deals with an increased contribution to the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law. It has to take into account Article 6 of the Agreement of 12th January, 1954, between the Council of Europe and the Institute. Meanwhile I am not in a position to give a final answer.
