§ Mr. Randallasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance the number of persons in Gateshead in receipt of National Assistance under the headings of pensioners, non-contributory pensioners, unemployed, persons suffering from physical or mental illness and others, respectively.
§ Miss Hornsby-SmithThe County Borough of Gateshead is served by two offices of the National Assistance Board, which between them also serve a considerable area extending beyond it including the Urban Districts of Felling and Washington. The numbers of weekly National Assistance grants current in these two offices on 27th September last were as follows:
