asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will give details of the trade agreement with Poland, which was recently concluded in London.

A Trade Arrangement with Poland was signed in London on 20th May which will come into operation on 1st July, 1960, and last for three years. Under this Arrangement import quotas on both sides will be negotiated annually. The Quota Lists for 1960–61 envisage an increase in United Kingdom exports to Poland from £16 million in 1959 to about £20 million, and an increase in United Kingdom imports from Poland from about £33 million in 1959 to about £35 million. The Trade Arrangement and the Quota Lists will be published in theBoard of Trade Journal next week.
