§ Mr. Delargyasked the Minister of Health whether he will take steps to amend the National Health Acts so as to provide for the representation of local authorities on regional hospital boards and group management committees.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithNo; but I regard local authorities as a valuable source of advice about appointments to these bodies. As the hon. Member knows, local health authorities are always consulted, and many members of local government bodies do in fact also serve as members of regional hospital boards and hospital management committees.
