§ Mr. Stodartasked the Minister of Aviation if he is yet in a position to make a statement about the future of Turnhouse Airport.
§ Mr. SandysAs Turnhouse now serves mainly civil air transport purposes, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Air and I have agreed that my Department will assume responsibility for the operation of the airport on 1st July, 1960. The Royal Air Force will retain certain domestic and technical facilities there.
