§ 84. Mr. Goodhartasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will place an unexpurgated copy of the Corfield Report on the origins and history of Mau Mau in the Library of the House of Commons.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodAs I made clear, no alterations have been made which would modify the strength of the Report either against individuals or against the Mau Mau movement itself. It was decided that the survey should be published, and Mr. Corfield's offer to condense the draft was accepted. He is leaving out such matters as he considers would not be in the public interest to disclose; for instance, detailed comment on the organisation of intelligence, and the names of witnesses or sources of information who might thereby be endangered.
