Mr. Houghton

asked the Attorney-General how many appointments of general commissioners of taxes have been made under the provisions of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act, 1956; what trade, vocation, or profession each of them follows; and how many were women.

The Attorney-General

Thirty-five General Commissioners of Income Tax have been appointed, none of them women. Their occupations at the time of their appointments were as follows:
