§ Mr. C. Ian Orr-EwingThe percentage of expenditure on naval research and development in Scotland is likely to be the same, approximately 12½per cent., in these two years. Expenditure has doubled from£9.1 million to£183 million, of which Scotland's share has increased from£11 million to£23 million.
§ 14. Mr. Hoyasked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty what proportion of expenditure in the United Kingdom on the repair and fitting of naval ships is spent in Scotland.
§ Mr. C. Ian Orr-EwingOver the last five years, about 12.per cent. of the total expenditure on the repair and refitting of naval ships in the United Kingdom has been spent in Scotland.
