HC Deb 02 May 1960 vol 622 c47W
76. Mr. N. Pannell

asked the Minister of Works if his attention has been drawn to the fact that several Government buildings in Liverpool did not fly either the Union Jack or St. George's flag on 23rd April, 1960; and if he will ensure that all Government buildings in England will observe the new regulation on future occasions.

Lord John Hope

Only two of the Government buildings in Liverpool at which I am responsible for flag flying have flag poles and on each of these the Union flag was flown on 23rd April in accordance with the regulations.
