§ Mr. Awberyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he is aware of the growing need of a strong, effective United Nations to build up world peace and disarmament; and if he will take steps to mobilise public opinion by consulting with the religious bodies of the country, with a view to organising a United Nations Peace Sunday annually.
§ Mr. R. AllanI would refer the hon. Gentleman to my right hon. and learned Friend's speech at the last General Assembly, of which I am sending him a copy. I understand that the United Nations Association, as in past years, intend to arrange with the religious bodies for special services to be held on a Sunday near United Nations Day.
