Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, taking October, 1951, as being equal to 100, he will give the monthly percentage rise or fall since that date in the purchasing value of the £ sterling, the cost of living, the cost of imports, the cost of exports, the terms of trade, National Health and National Insurance contributions and benefits, wages, prices and profits, retirement pensions, war disability pensions, and unemployment, giving, additionally, the rate and rise or fall in the Bank Rate.
