§ Sir D. EcclesThe last complete academic year for which figures are available is 1957–58. Of the 55,862 students with awards from public funds then in attendance at universities and120W university Colleges, 2,140 failed their degree courses or had to terminate them prematurely. The comparable figures for 1955–56 and 1956–57 were 46,523 and 1,580, and 51,519 and 1,869, respectively. If the hon. Member will let me know what he means by "administrative divisions", I will see whether I can provide this information.
