HC Deb 09 March 1960 vol 619 c38W
Dr. Bennett

asked the Minister of Power if he will give a general direction to all electricity boards to issue warnings of impending interruptions of supply whenever possible so that the use of electric clocks and time-switches may not in future be discredited.

Mr. Wood

Electricity boards are required to give notice of interruptions in supply by the Electricity Supply Regulations, 1937. Whenever possible they do so. The general direction my hon. Friend proposes is therefore unnecessary.
