§ Mr. MaclayThe returns from education authorities showing the number of pupils finally leaving school between 16th September, 1959, and 15th January, 1960, are not yet available, but I shall write to the hon. Member as soon as I receive them. I understand that over 9,000 boys and over 8,000 girls were expected to leave in that period.
