§ Mr. Sydney Irvingasked the Minister of Transport how many people are now waiting to take driving tests at the Dartford Testing Centre; how this compares with a year ago; and how long is the waiting time now as compared with a year ago.
§ Mr. MarplesAt the present time there are about 1,500 people waiting to be tested at the Dartford centre as compared with about 1,100 a year ago. People currently applying for driving tests are being offered appointments 12 weeks ahead. This compares with a waiting period of 8 weeks at the same date last year.
