§ 75. Sir F. Markhamasked the Minister of Education what instructions or directives have been given to local education authorities regarding the siting and building of schools; and how many counties are allowed to produce and develop their own designs.
§ Sir D. EcclesMinimum standards for school premises are prescribed in The Standards for School Premises Re-114W gulations, 1959. All local education authorities are free to produce and develop their own designs, provided that they comply with the minimum standards and with the limits of cost per place. Advice on various aspects of school design is given in the series of Building Bulletins published by my Department.
