asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons were convicted or charged under Section 8 of the Road Traffic Act, 1956, of the offence of causing death by dangerous driving of a spouse between 1st January, 1959, and 1st December, 1959.

In the Metropolitan Police District two persons were charged and convicted for offences committed in 1959. I regret that information for the rest of the country is not available.
