HC Deb 27 June 1960 vol 625 c91W
71. Mr. Stonehouse

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will make a statement on his discussions with representatives of the elected members of the Uganda Legislative Council with regard to constitutional developments in the protectorate.

Mr. Iain Macleod

The main discussions concluded today, but there will be further meetings with officials on outstanding points. I propose to publish in due course a dispatch to the Governor embodying my final conclusions on matters relating to the 1961 Constitution so far left outstanding.
