HC Deb 27 June 1960 vol 625 cc82-3W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Minister of Aviation if he is aware of the absence of Customs facilities at Biggin Hill Arport, and that this frustrates the full use of the airport for passenger and other traffic there; and if he will take steps to have Customs facilities provided there.

Mr. Sandys

I am not satisfied that there is sufficient international air traffic at Biggin Hill aerodrome to justify the provision for Customs facilities at present, but I shall be prepared in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer, to review the position in the light of developments.
