§ 51. Mr. G. M. Thomsonasked the Minister of State for Commonwealth Relations what decisions have been taken by Her Majesty's Government regarding aid for the Ghana Volta River Project.
§ Mr. AlportI understand that discussions are still proceeding between the Ghana authorities and the aluminium companies about the smelter plant, and that discussions with the International Bank on the hydro-electric scheme have been taking place. Decisions by all concerned must await the outcome of these consultations.
