§ 49. Mr. Shepherdasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will state what steps were taken by the Metropolitan police to disperse the pickets from outside the Pigalle Restaurant on 7th June.
§ Mr. RentonI am informed by the Commissioner of Police that when, in the opinion of the senior police officer on duty, there was a danger of a breach of the peace, the demonstrators were warned that their activities could not be allowed to continue and they dispersed.
