Mr. Albuasked the Minister of Transport whether he has yet received a report from the Advisory Committee set up to examine the organisation of British Railways; and whether, in view of the public statements made by members of the Committee, he will publish any reports which he receives from the Committee.
§ Mr. MarplesThe Special Advisory Group will not make formal reports, but will advise the Government and the British Transport Commission from time48W to time on various aspects of its task. This is a continuing process and I will inform the House of any action the Government may decide to take as a result. I know of no public statements by members of the Group which would affect my decision not to publish details of the advice it tenders.
