§ 48. Mr. Ledgerasked the Minister of Labour what ocupations are now specified under his regulations as a requirement for registered conscientious objectors; to what extent the list has been altered since the last war; and whether he will now alter it to meet peace time priorities.
§ Mr. HeathNone. When a conscientious objector is registered on condition that he takes up civilian work, it is the duty of the Tribunal to specify the work to be done. The National Service Acts and Regulations do not lay down a list of occupations to be undertaken.
