HC Deb 21 June 1960 vol 625 c23W
48. Mr. A. Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the increasing activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, involving visits by Members of Parliament to places as far distant as Tokyo, he will increase his grant in aid to this body.

Mr. Amory

The British Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union receives a grant-in-aid of £11,500 a year, and I am not aware that this amount is inadequate for their purposes.
