§ Mr. Iremongerasked the Minister of Education if he will ensure that instruction is provided in teacher training colleges to equip future teachers to teach their pupils the elementary conceptions involved in personal savings through National Savings, insurance and other forms of investment, including investment in public companies quoted on the Stock Exchange.
§ Sir D. EcclesTraining Colleges are themselves responsible for content of the courses they provide, subject to the supervision of the Institutes of Education. I have no doubt that students who are to each children of the right age for understanding these concepts receive the necessary tuition in the course of their Studies of mathematics or commercial subjects.
