HL Deb 25 July 1960 vol 225 c700WA
THE EARL OF HARROWBY

asked Her Majesty's Government if, in order to get the picture even vaguely into proportion, crime statistics can in future include data as to "offences taken into consideration" and these be added to the total.

EARL OF BATHURST

Offences taken into consideration by a superior court in passing sentence are included in the figures for indictable offences known to the police in the annual volume of Criminal Statistics. Tables in Group III of the Supplementary Statistics, which are not published but are available in the Library, give particulars of the number and nature of the offences taken into consideration.

House adjourned at twenty-eight minutes past five o'clock.
